The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) says it is planning to meet parents of the Golden Eaglets' players over doubts on their ages.

The NFF Technical Committee Chairman, Mr. Taiwo Ogunjobi, told newsmen in Abuja that the decision was essential to know the true ages of the players.

Mr. Ogunjobi admitted that doubts were being expressed over the actual ages of some of the players in the national Under-Seventeen team currently preparing for the World Cup in Nigeria in October.

He noted that the federation received the result of the MRI test conducted by the National Sports Commission (NSC) Medical Department at the National Hospital, Abuja, adding that names of players, who failed the test, would be made public after meeting with the parents.

Mr. Ogunjobi, who is also a Vice President of the NFF, said the federation carried out the test to avoid embarrassing the country on the age requirement of FIFA.
