
KWSG prioritizes agriculture to ensure food security free

The Kwara State Government has identified agriculture as a priority sector to achieve food security and sufficiency for its people.

Represented by his Special Adviser and Councillor, Alhaji Saad Salaudeen, the governor highlighted his administration’s ongoing investments in agriculture, including subsidies for farmers. He also assured that the 2025 state budget would further consolidate these efforts to strengthen food security.
The Lead Facilitator, Dr. Akeem Ajeigbe, praised the Kwara State Government for its commitment to empowering farmers through modern training programs.
He emphasized the importance of equipping farmers with innovative techniques to improve agricultural productivity.
Otunba David-Babalola, Chief Executive Officer of Synergy Impact Consultant Limited, expressed gratitude to the World Bank, the federal government, and the state government for their support in organizing the training.
The event was attended by top government officials, including Dr. Ghali Alaaya, Non-Executive Director of the NNPC Board; Alhaji AbdulRasaq Jiddah, Special Adviser on Special Duties to the Governor; Alhaji Abdullateef Gidado-Alakawa, Executive Chairman of the Lower Niger Basin Authority; and Alhaji Bashir Adigun, Special Adviser on Communication to the Governor. Certificates of participation were presented to all attendees at the conclusion of the programme.
