28th coronation anniversary: Emir of Ilorin appreciates govt, people of Kwara state
…says Ilorin has witnessed tremendous growth in the last 28 yrs

The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Council of Chiefs, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari has thanked the people of Ilorin Emirate, government and people of Kwara State for their fervent prayers and support since his enthronement in the last 28years.
Alhaji Sulu-Gambari, in a statement signed by his spokesman, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona, expressed his delight over the peaceful conduct of the people of the state among themselves despite their political and tribal differences.
The Emir’s statement forms part of his 28th coronation anniversary message to the people stressing that his prayers has always been for the people of Ilorin Emirate, Kwarans and Nigerians to continue to excel globally.
He also chronicled some of the achievements witnessed in the last 28 years of his Emirship as infrastructural growth and human capital development across all facets of human endeavours, educational and economic advancements, remodelling of the Ilorin central Mosque to a worldclass standard, upgrade of the Emir’s Palace to modern status
Others are preservation of the rich cultural values and heritage of the Ilorin Emirate as well as promotion of peace and harmony among residents of the community.
The Emir thanked the people for standing firm by him in prayers and good conducts since he ascended the throne of his forefathers in 1995 even as he urged them to continue to live together peacefully and not allow division and disruption of peace under any guise.
Alhaji Sulu-Gambari however commended all successive administrations in the state for supporting traditional rulers and ensuring grassroot development across the state adding that the current Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has been so supportive and instrumental to the growth of traditional institution since his assumption of office.
The Emir therefore prayed for love to continue manifest as his reign continue to enjoy the solidarity of the people and the Government at all levels.
