The Kwara State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has felicitated Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on his inauguration for a second term in office, urging him not to drop the ball.
The union noted that the continuity of Governor AbdulRazaq in office is a reflection of his hard work, self denial, crave for development, character and personal integrity, which he exhibited in the last four years.
The Chairman, state council of NUJ, Abdullateef ‘Lanre Ahmed, and Secretary, Omotayo Ayanda, said this in a congratulatory letter to the Governor, a copy of which was made available to Journalists in Ilorin today.
The union said it has followed the trajectory of governance in the state and it was not surprising that the Governor was rewarded for another term to lead the people of the state.
Likening him to a Three Star General, the NUJ congratulated Governor AbdulRazaq that his inauguration for a second term, emergence as the Chairman, Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) and his selection for the Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON) award happened in quick succession.
The union recalled the transformation in the education sector, road and health infrastructure and called on the Governor to consolidate on his legacies.
