The Grand Mufti of Ilorin Emirate, Sheikh Sulaiman Faruq-Onikijipa says the present challenges in the country require prayers and fasting for peace to continue to reign in the country.
Sheikh Faruq-Onikijipa, who made the call while speaking about the current situation in the country, said Nigerians should go back to Allah.
The Grand Mufti of Ilorin, said Islam is not against the right to peaceful assembly and protest, emphasizing the importance of prioritizing safety, responsible citizenship, and constructive engagement.
He called on both Muslims and Christians to engage in prayers and fasting for the country to overcome the economic hardship facing the nation.
