The Lawmaker representing Irepo/Orelope/Olorunsogo Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Prince Olaide Lateef Mohammed, has awarded full scholarships to twenty deserving constituents.
Out of the twenty beneficiaries, three constituents were awarded full scholarships to pursue their studies at Novelty Polytechnic, Kishi. The remaining seventeen fortunate individuals received scholarships to enroll in various courses at the prestigious Federal Cooperative College, Eleyele, Ibadan, established in 1943, based on courses selected by the lucky constituents.
This scholarship includes school fees and accommodation fees.
While awarding the scholarships, the federal lawmaker noted that it was part of his commitment to empowering the youth through educational opportunities to contribute to the development of the community.
POLAM said “ I want to attribute my ability to sponsor these students to the Almighty Allah, and I want to express gratitude for the opportunity to be a beacon of hope for the youth. I appreciate Hon. Malik, a former State House of Assembly member, for introducing the idea to me.
“ The beneficiaries, carefully selected without bias from a pool of interested candidates. I want to urge you all to be exemplary ambassadors of the constituency. I will support you monthly with N100,000 and I assured you of my continued support to post-graduation”.
The Provost of Federal Cooperative College, Eleyele, represented by his Deputy, expressed gratitude to Prince Lateef Muhammed Polam for awarding full scholarships to some members of his constituents, acknowledging him as the first benefactor to engage in such a commendable initiative at the institution.
He also conveyed appreciation for the scholarships and encouraged the recipients to view themselves as chosen and blessed individuals, extending invitation to other philanthropists to emulate Hon. Polam’s exemplary act of generosity.
House of Assembly member representing Orelope State Constituency, Hon. Jimoh Lukman Ishola expressed gratitude to Hon. Polam and praised him for investing in the education of constituents, pledging monthly support of N100,000.
Similarly, Hon. Waliu Salami Ganmiyan, representing the Irepo/Olorunsogo state constituency, saluted Hon. Polam’s commitment and also promised monthly support of N100,000 for the duration of the beneficiaries’ programs.
