•seeks understanding of road users
The general public is hereby notified of the closure of the Post Office-Emir’s Road as we commence ongoing rehabilitation and upgrade works.
This is in line with the urban renewal projects of His Excellency Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq which seeks to create good road networks and boost the economy.
The closure is with immediate effect.
A statement from the Office of the Commissioner for Works and Transport, Engineer Abdulqawiy Olododo, urges road users to make use of some alternative routes during the rehabilitation stage.
Olododo assured the general public that the closure is to ensure the safety of all residents and smooth travel.
Road users from Maraba can use the Post Office Flyover as an alternative route, while Vehicles from Offa Garage should take the Zulu Gambari Road as an alternative route.
“We apologise for any inconveniences this closure will cause, and we seek the cooperation of the general public during this period,” the statement said.
Motorists are urged to follow traffic directives and exercise caution when navigating the area.
