*NSCDC arraigns teenager for arson and thief*
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kwara State Command, has arraigned a teenager, Olawumi Ayomide for allegedly setting a building on fire after stealing items belonging to the occupants.
A statement by the Public Relations Officer of the state Command of the Corps, ASC Ayoola Micheal-Shola said the State Magistrate Court, presided over by Magistrate M.A. Yahaya, found the suspect guilty and sentenced him to one year imprisonment at Mandala Correctional Centre without the option of a fine.
It will be recalled that on the twenty-fifth of last month, the suspect broke into a three-bedroom bungalow belonging to Mrs. Bolatito Adebayo at number fifty Afenifere Community, Onireke, Upper Gaa Akanbi, Ilorin South local government area of the state.
The state Commandant of Corps, Doctor Umar Mohammed, reiterated the Corps’ relentless onslaught against criminal activities in the state and promised to ensure the safety and security of all citizens
