Following the reconstruction of Tanke flyover roundabout to regulate the traffic efficiently along the route,KWARTMA has erected No parking signs at some strategic position on the road towards University of Ilorin and Tipper Motor park, Tanke. Ilorin..
The erection of the “No parking” sign was born out of discouraging flagrant parking and make the road free of traffic congestion considering the magnitude of the vehicles that ply the road couple with staff, students and commercial vehicles that go to University of Ilorin daily.
The Ag. CEO of KWARTMA, Engineer Bamidele Michael commended the the Governor of Kwara State, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq CON, and Honorable Commissioner for Works and Transport for throwing their weights at KWARTMA for putting the No parking signs at the necessary locations. Motorists are hereby enjoined to comply with the message the signage is passing and respect other road furniture that the Government will be putting in place on our roads in the future.
Meanwhile, some members of the community at Tanke have also commended the State Government on the move to have reconstructed the roundabout, noting that it will reduce crashes that have been occuring at the spot in the past.
