As the world marks International World Health Day today, the Kwara State Directorate of the National Orientation Agency (NOA) has emphasized the critical role of health and well-being in building a prosperous and productive society.
Joining the global community in commemorating the day, NOA Kwara organized a series of health awareness campaigns across the state, with a strong focus on mental health, nutrition, and disease prevention.
These campaigns aim to educate citizens on the importance of prioritizing their health, adopting healthier lifestyles, and taking proactive steps to safeguard their well-being.
As part of the celebration, the agency also conducted community outreach programs offering free health screenings, health education, and counseling services to residents, especially in underserved areas.
Speaking on the initiative, the Director of NOA Kwara State, Alhaji Abdulganiyu Olurotimi Dare, noted that the programs are designed to promote healthier living and improve access to quality healthcare across the state.
He emphasised the agency’s ongoing partnerships with healthcare providers, which he said help bridge gaps in healthcare delivery and ensure broader access to essential health services.
Alhaji Dare further stressed the importance of individual health in national development, calling on citizens to take advantage of the agency’s health initiatives and prioritize their personal well-being.
