HoR member receives PDP, APP, Accord Party decampees in Oyo

A member of the House of Representatives representing Irepo/Orelope/Olorunsogo Federal Constituency of Oyo State, Prince Olaide Lateef Mohammed, has welcomed thousands of party members from the PDP, APP, and Accord Party who decided to join the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo state.
Prince Olaide Mohammed while speaking with the decampees, encouraged them to collaborate diligently with APC leaders and members to ensure victory of the party in the upcoming Local Government Election scheduled for April 27, this year.
The federal lawmaker popularly known as Polam emphasized the importance of supporting all APC candidates across the ten wards on the election day and reaffirmed the principle of equality within the party.
He said “ I want to graciously welcome thousands of party members from the PDP, APP, and Accord Party who decided to join the All Progressives Congress (APC). I encourage you all to collaborate diligently with APC leaders and members to ensure victory for the party in the upcoming Local Government Election scheduled for April 27, 2024”
“ It is important for you to support all APC candidates across the ten wards and vote overwhelmingly on election day. I extend my greetings to the party chairman for his leadership efforts.
It will be recalled that during the 1st general meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC) held on March 10, 2024, at Kishi Main Roundabout, APC Chairman, Hon. Mashood Ajana, alongside party leaders, warmly received the multitude of defectors.
The meeting also marked the official unveiling of APC Chairman Candidate, Hon. Alh. Abdulsalam Abdulfatai (Baba Porta), Vice Chairman Candidate, Hon. Alh. Abdulrasak Shittu Okoka, and ten Councillors from each ward in Irepo Local Government.
The event was a cause for celebration among All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders as they welcomed Mrs. Kudirat Ladoja and her team from the PDP.
Among the notable defectors was the Accord Party Chairman in Irepo, Mr. Jimoh Jagun, who arrived at the APC meeting accompanied by hundreds of their party members, including Alh. Osefa Bamidele, Alh. Alafinju, Nurudeen Bawa, Madam Sarah Otunla, Coordinator to the Hon. Minister Adelabu Pekelemesi, Mr. Musiliu Lowoori, and others.
Prominent figures from the All People’s Party (APP) who joined APC included former Governor aspirant Hon. Kazeem Ayandoye, Mr. Matthew A. Laoye (Baba Petition), Sulaiman Serifat, S. A. Lawal, and others.
