The Vice Chancellor, Ahman Pategi University Professor Mahfouz Adedimeji, has cautioned that there are no miracles to rising to the top rather processes, urging the Youth to do little things consistently in line with their purpose to attain success and satisfaction in life.
He gave the advice at the April Edition of Raise, an initiative of the Nigerian Youth Parliament (Kwara Central) where he spoke as the Life Class Teacher.
Speaking on the topic HI FIVE: IMBIBING JAPANESE PRINCIPLES FOR LIFE, Prof. Adedimeji, said individuals can better their life experiences by exploring five Japanese idioms:
Ikigai – To discover your purpose in life.
Shikita ga nai – To let go of what you cannot change
Wabi-sabi – To find peace in imperfection
Kaizen – Seek to improve in all areas of your life
Oubaitori : Do not compare yourself with others
The Fulbright Scholar further enjoyed individuals to be prayerful, plan, exercise patience, preserve and persistent to achieve success in life.
